William Henry Harris

Departed this life January 12, 2011. William Henry Harris of Richmond. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lillian M. Harris. He is survived by his wife, Charity Harris; one son, Jerrold Rodman Harris; two grandchildren, Rachel and Michael Harris; two step grandchildren Brooke and Sam Colby; two aunts; a host of cousins; one daughter-in-law, Nancy Harris; one brother-in-law, John McDonald and other relatives and friends. He retired from Richmond Public Schools after 30 years of service. He was a principal at Albert V. Norrell School. He was a lifetime member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Iota Sigma Chapter. He was a member of the Armstrong Class of 1948. He was also a member of the Ectezus Investment Club. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where there will be an Omega Service followed by a wake from 3 to 5PM Sunday. Funeral services will be held Monday 11AM at Moore Street Baptist Church, 1408 W. Leigh Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Dr. Alonza Lawrence(pastor) off.
