Barbara Anne Dixon Ford

Ms. Barbara Anne Dixon Ford was born July 15, 1943 in New York City, the first child born to Martha and Kenneth Dixon. She attended New York City Public Schools and graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in June, 1961. On June 6, 1963, Barbara joined Albert Ford in holy matrimony. From that union two sons were born and after they became school age, Barbara pursued a career in bookkeeping at Sloans Supermarket, located at 181st Broadway, New York. In September 1955, Barbara relocated to Henrico County, Virginia where she remained until she departed this life on January 18, 2011. Barbara leaves to mourn her passing, two loving sons, Brian and Bruce Ford; one grandson, Brian Ford, Jr.; one granddaughter, Alisa Ford; one brother, Kenneth Dixon, Jr.; cousins, and a host of friends. Remains rest at the Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. Interment private.
