Dorothy Thompson Puryear

Departed this life February 19, 2011. Mrs. Dorothy Puryear of Richmond. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leary W. Puryear Sr.; two sons, Ronald R. and Darryl R. Puryear. She is survived by one daughter, Inez Patrice Coleman; three sons; Leary Jr., Linwood B. and Julius N. Puryear; 16 grandchildren, among them a devoted Carlos Coleman Jr.; nine great grandchildren; one sister, Marian T. Johnson; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; four daughters-in-law, Barbara, Cristita, Barbara and Rosemary Puryear; one son-in-law, Carlos B. Coleman Sr.; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 12 noon at Riverview Baptist Church, 2604 Idlewood Avenue where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Dr. Stephen Hewlett(pastor) off. Interment Washington Memorial Park. Family and friends assemble at the church 11:45AM Saturday.
