Departed this life March 5, 2011. Solon Green of Richmond. He is survived by his wife, Josephine Green; one daughter, Maria Friend; one brother, Bruce Green; three aunts; Martha Goodman, Sarah Hinton and Beatrice Edwards; one uncle, Gideon Hinton; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; four sisters-in-law, Maria Green, Ellen Smith, Annie Sheppard, and Evelyn Friend; two brothers-in-law, George and John Friend and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11AM. Rev. Earl Brown off. Interment Quantico National Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the funeral home 10:45AM Wednesday.
