Carter, Departed this life March 8, 2011. Mrs. Jean E. Carter of Richmond. She is survived by two daughters, Gabrielle L. Wright and Charmagyne C. Jenkins; one son, Kevin C. Carter; five grandchildren; Joshua & Justin Carter; Sydney & Maya Jenkins and Erin Wright of Chicago, Illinois; three sisters; Doris E. Jones, Rosa L. Cooper and Barbara C. Chavis; three brothers; Samuel Edwards, Frankie C. Edwards and William L. Edwards; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one daughter-in-law, Victoria M. Carter; two sons-in-law, Sylvester M. Wright and Joseph Jenkins III; two sisters-in-law, Jeanette and Joyce B. Edwards; and other relatives and friends, among them a devoted Charles E. Carter. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 12 noon at Fifth Baptist Church, 1415 W. Cary Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Earl Brown(pastor) Rev. Ellen Blount eulogy. Interment Maury Cemetery.
