Departed this life March 9, 2011. Mrs. Betty C. Jenkins of Richmond. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Wilbert L. Jenkins; two daughters, Velma Jenkins Tillar and Jennifer Jenkins Copeland; four grandchildren; Marcus & Shannon Tillar and Chauncey & Carter Copeland; two sisters, Lois Lonan and Ola Mae Henderson; one brother Clyde Cunningham; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; two sons -in-law, Marvin J. Tillar and Eric G. Copeland; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Cunningham and Essie Singleton; five brothers-in-law; Solomon Jr., Howard L., Charles E., John C., and Melvin L. Jenkins; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where an Omega Omega service will be held Sunday at 3PM and where the family will receive friends from 4 to 5PM. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11AM at First Union Baptist Church, 3510 Dill Road where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Dr. Millard F. Boone III(interim pastor) off. Interment Roselawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends assemble at the church 10:45AM Monday.
