Marie Patterson Thomas

Departed this life March 21, 2011. Mrs. Marie Thomas of Richmond. She was a retired educator who served for many years with Richmond Public Schools. Mrs. Thomas was a graduate of Virginia State University. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Thomas. She is survived by her brother, Claude Lewis Sr.; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins among them Nanina and Carla Lewis, Claude Lewis Jr., and Kimberly Rice; and other relatives and friends, among them Grace Epps and Lucy Thompson. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Saturday 11AM at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 216 W. Leigh Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Dr. Levy Armwood(pastor) off. Interment Riverview Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 10:45AM Saturday.
