Maria Louise Odom

Departed this life May 1, 2011. Deaconess Maria Odom, formerly of Richmond. She is preceded in death by her husband, Deacon William Odom Jr. She is survived by one daughter, Verline Hale of Youngstown, Ohio; three grand daughters; Lisa Harris, Veronica Winfield and Verdeana Winfrey; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Cassie E. Wyatt of Brooklyn, New York and Lillie Virginia Green; three brothers; John T., Fred L. and Charles J. Wyatt; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one son-in-law, Dorse Hale; three sisters-in-law, Iris Hambrick, Martha Wyatt and Gloria Wyatt; three brothers-in-law; Shepard L., Alvin and Herbert J. Odom and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Saturday 11AM at Trinity Baptist Church, 2811 Fendall Avenue where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Dr. A. Lincoln James(pastor) off. Interment Riverview Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 10:45AM Saturday.
