Departed this life June 30, 2011. Mrs. Barbara J. Whitfield of Richmond, formerly of New York. She is survived by three daughters; Crystal Blount, Barbara Blount Williams Friend and Pamela Blount; one son, Eris Blount; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one sister, Gaynell Hall; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one son-in-law, Antoine Friend; and other relatives and friends, among them a devoted companion, Donald George White. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where a memorial service will be held Wednesday at 6PM. Pastor James Wilkins off. Interment private. Family and friends assemble at the funeral home 5:45PM Wednesday.
