William Garfield Willis

Departed this life July 19, 2011. William G. Willis of Richmond. He is survived by his wife, Edith Willis; two daughters, Angela Willis Hawkes and Marquerita Matthews; three sons; Alexander Howlett(Barbara), Napoleon Tyler, and Andre Tyler Sr.(Barbara); ten grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two sisters, Arlene Anderson and Deloris Willis; one brother, Shirley Willis(Mildred); a host of nieces and nephews among them devoted Clover & Wyndell Willis and Marie Brown and cousins; sisters-i- law, Ellen Willis and Janice Coles; brother-in-law, Edward Howlett Sr. and other relatives and friends among them devoted Victor Brown and Nathaniel Valentine. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where the family will receive friends from 3 to 4PM Sunday. Funeral services will be held Monday 11AM at Shiloh Baptist Church, 2420 Venable Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Lewis H. Johnson(interim pastor) off. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 10:45AM Monday.
