Carrie E Lewis

Went to be with the Lord on August 6, 2011. Mrs Carrie E. Lewis, age 91. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Lewis; a granddaughter, Patricia Lewis; one sister, Victoria Carter; and three brothers; Jefferson Morris, Andrew Morris and Fleming Morris. She is survived by two daughters, Elnora Alfred and Gladys Smith; one son, Dr. James E. Price(Branda); one sister, Elnor Hendricks; eleven grandchilren; 21 great grandchilren; twelve great great grandchildren; and a host of loving nieces, nephews and cousins; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where the family will receive friends from 6 to 7PM Wednesday. Funeral services will be held Thursday 12 noon at Brown Grove Baptist Church, 9328 Ashcake Road in Hanover County, Virginia where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Daina Beechum(pastor) off. Interment Roselawn Memory Gardens. The family gratefully acknowledges the care provided by the staff of the Hospice of Virginia. Family and friends assemble at the church 11:45AM Thursday.
