Silas Smith

Departed this life September 27, 2011. Silas Smith Jr. of Richmond. He is preceded in death by his wife, Carrie Elizabeth Smith. He is survived by two daughters, Darlene Smith and Karen Haley; one son, Ronnie Smith; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one sister, Jennie Ellis; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one daughter-in-law, Willie Mae Smith; one son-in-law, Charles L. Haley Sr.; five sisters-in-law, Ruth Bell, Cordell Daniels, Lena Johnson, Julia Morris and Karen Morris; two brothers-in-law, Clarence and George Morris and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30PM Friday. Funeral services will be held Saturday 10AM at Second Baptist Church, 1400 Idlewood Avenue where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Dr. James Harris(pastor) officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 9:45AM Saturday.
