Sheila King

Departed this life November 13, 2011. Ms. Sheila King of Richmond. She is survived by one son, Jairus S. King; her mother, Deacon Carolyn W. Slaughter; four aunts; Mildred, Thelma, Mary and Doris Whaley; one uncle, Leroy Whaley Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and other relatives and friends, among them Patricia Johnson, Karen Davis, Carlene Love, Sharon Redd and her coworkers at Blackwell Elementary School. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30PM on Thursday. Funeral services will be held Friday 11AM at Fifth Baptist Church, 1415 W. Cary Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Earl Brown(pastor) off. Interment Riverview Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 10:45AM Friday.
