Departed this life December 12, 2011. David L.(Shorty) Pearson of Richmond. He is a retired employee of Phillip Morris. He is survived by his wife Rev . Gwendolyn Pearson; two daughters, Maria Pleasants and Bonita Green; two sons, Stanley and Troy Pearson; ten grandchildren; eleven great grand children; one sister, Audrey Bailey; four brothers; George, Talmadge, Ralph and Norman Pearson; several aunts; one uncle; a host nieces, nephews and cousins; one daughter-in-law, Michelle Pearson; two sons-in-law, Freeman Pleasants and Warren Green Sr.; five sisters-in-law, Joan, Faye, Evelyn and Carmen Pearson and Audrey Harrison; one brother-in-law, Floyd Bailey and other relatives and friends, among them Arcare Stamp. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Saturday 12 noon at New Canaan Baptist Church, 4712 Forest Hill Avenue where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Louis R. Blakey Jr. and Rev. Lois Blakey Paige(pastors). Rev. Louis R. Blakey Jr. off. Family and friends assemble at the church 11:45AM Saturday.
