Departed this life January 16, 2012. Matthew Winston of Richmond. He is preceded in death by a grandson, Deandre Staton. He is survived by three daughters; Janequa, Trenice and Shenise Winston; one son, Alpheus Staton; two grandchildren, Cory Winston and Germaine Staton; his mother, Marie Winston Reed; two sisters, Pearl Mclean(Jimmie) and Patrice Nugent; two brothers, Charles and Samuel Winston; one aunt, Julia Johnson; four uncles; Paul, Nelson, John(Venna) and Herman(Bettie) Winston; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, among them a devoted Maurice Owens; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where funeral services will be held Friday at 1PM and where the family will receive friends 6:30 to 7:30pm Thursday. Dr. Ricardo Brown off. Interment Riverview Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the funeral home 12:45PM Friday.
