Departed this life January 16, 2012. Joseph Turner of Richmond. He is preceded in death by one daughter, Tangalia James. He is survived by his wife, Hazel Turner; three sons; Reginald Turner-Barner, Alexander James and Joseph Turner Jr.; one step daughter, Carletha Brockenbrough; one step son, Theodore James; a host of grandchildren; one sister, Mary Stinnett; two brothers, Melvin and William Turner; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; two daughters-in-law, Jacqueline Thomas-James and Ivory Turner; one sister-in-law, Thelma Bryson; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Friday 11AM at Moore Street Baptist Church, 1408 W. Leigh Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Dr. Alonza Lawrence(pastor) off. Interment Quantico National Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 10:45AM Friday.
