Departed this life February 2, 2012. Willie Cooke Jr. of Richmond. He is preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Cooke. He is survived by two daughters, Pearline Cooke and Willease Atkins; one granddaughter, Madison Atkins; one sister, Ruby Moore; two brothers, Richard and Sammie Cooke; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one son-in-law, Edward V. Atkins Jr.; two sisters-in-law, Jean Cooke and Irene Furman; two brothers-in-law, James Henry Furman and Tillman Bracey; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Saturday 11AM at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, 1902 Rosewood Avenue where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 10:45AM Saturday.
