Departed this life February 27, 2012. Mrs. Helen Simms of Richmond. She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Simms, one son, Walter E. Simms Sr. and two grandsons, Cleveland Jr. and Curtis Battle. She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Simms Battle; one son, Anthony Simms; three grandsons; Walter E. Jr. and Rodney Simms and Cedric Battle Sr.; eight great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; two daughters-in-law, Sandra and Joyce Simms; one son-in-law, Cleveland Battle Sr.; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where funeral services will be held 11AM Friday. Dr. James Harris off. Interment Riverview Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the funeral home 10:45AM Friday.
