Sheila C. Lipscomb

Departed this life April 15, 2012. Mrs. Sheila Carter Lipscomb of Mechanicsville. She is preceded in death by her father, Lemuel Carter Sr., one brother, Lemuel Carter Jr. and a grandchild, Courtney White. She is survived by her husband, Franklin Lipscomb; two daughters, Gloria Batiste and Alicia White; two grandchildren, Bria White and Destiny Perry; her mother, Nannie Carter; one sister, Iris Mitchiner; two brothers, Gary Carter and Vincent Carter Sr.; two aunts; three uncles; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one son-in-law, Raleigh Batiste Jr.; her mother-in-law, Josephine Lipscomb; four sisters-in-law; Sylvia and Ivy Carter, Phyllis Waddey and Stephanie Robinson; two brother- in-law, Rev. Oscar Mitchiner and Harold Lipscomb and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Saturday 12 noon at Rock Hill Baptist Church, 4271 Rockhill Road, Mechanisville where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Phillip E. Knight Sr.(pastor) off. Interment Rockhill Baptist Church Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 11:45AM Saturday.
