Vernell Peters

Departed this life April 15, 2012. Mrs. Vernell LaPearl Peters of Richmond. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Peters Sr. and her son, William “Billy” Peters. She is survived by her daughter, Delores Peters Dowden McCray; three granddaughters; Natalie Thompson(Merle), Alonda Smith(Terence) and Robin Brown and a devoted grandson, Randall Lamont Dowden; six great grandchildren; one sister, Ann Phillips of Brooklyn New York; a host of nieces and nephews, among them a devoted Raymond Cunningham of Hesperia California; her son-in-law, Lawrence J. McCray and other relatives and friends, among them a devoted Ann Reid. The family will be receiving friends Friday from 6pm to 7:30pm. at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue.
