Mary Cary Hopkins

Departed this life April 20, 2012. Mrs. Mary Cary Hopkins, age 103, formerly of the 2400 block of Rosewood Avenue. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel H. Hopkins; one daughter, Rosa H. Cheatham, one son, Iaishm Cary and one grandson Robert L. Hopkins. She is survived by three daughters; Marie Johnson, Annie H. Pollard and Virginia Woodson; fifteen grandchildren, among them two devoted, William M. Hopkins and Sylvia Pollard; 27 great grandchildren; 33 great great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins among them a first cousin Lucille Cary Lawson; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30PM Thursday. Funeral services will be held Friday 1PM at _______________________________, ____________________________ where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. _____________________________ off.
