Erlene Brooks Jefferson

Departed this life June 25, 2012. Mrs. Erlene Brooks Jefferson of Richmond. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Jefferson. She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews, among them Charmaine R. Castillo(Amos), Desiree R. Centeio(Axel), James H. Roots(Earline), Dr. Arthur L. Roots(Robin) and Brandon J. Roots(Brenda) and other relatives and friends, among them Pastor Dan Sturdivant and Co pastor Velma Sturdivant, and Vernell T. Hood(George). Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Saturday 11AM at Cedar Street Baptist Church, 2301 Cedar Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Dr. Anthony M. Chandler Sr.(pastor). Dr. Arthur Roots eulogy. Family and friends assemble at the church 10:45AM Saturday.
