James C. Davis

Departed this life September 4, 2012. James C. Davis of Richmond. He is preceded in death by his wife, Cora H. Davis. He is survived by five daughters; LeVaughan Liggins, Carolyn Davis, Joy Davis, Shelia Roane and Tina Brooks; one son, James R. Davis; 11 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one brother, Thomas Davis; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one daughter-in-law, Virginia Davis; two sons-in-law, Ronald Roane and Avus Brooks; two sisters-in-law, Irene Wilson and Gladys Eubanks; two brothers-in-law, Willard and Curtis(Ruby) Hedgeman and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Saturday 1PM at Fifth Baptist Church, located at 1415 W. Cary Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Dr. Earl Brown(pastor)Rev. Alex Shelley off. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 12:45PM Saturday.
