Barnes, Departed this life January 7, 2008. Mrs. Hortense H. Barnes of Richmond. She is survived by one sister, Muriel Burrell; one brother, Fred L. Hughes; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; three sisters -in law, Susan A., Roberta and Avis Hughes and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where funeral services will be held Friday at 1P.M. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at funeral home 12:45P.M. Friday. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the E. E. “Jeep” Smith Jr. Scholarship Fund.
