Shirley Herman Coles

Coles, Shirley Herman Carter Coles, 86, of Richmond went home to be with the Lord on January 12, 2008. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years Lenora Willey Coles; four daughters, Shirley Gilstrop, Sheron Hayes, Shelia Hayes and Gwendolyn Clark; one son Lonald Hayes; eleven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; 2 sisters- in -law, Doris Babbs and Dorothy Coles; one brother- in- law, Sherman Babbs and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, where the family will receive friends from 6:30P.M. to 7:30P.M. on Thursday. Funeral services will be held Friday, 1P.M. at Sharon Baptist Church, 22 E. Leigh Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior funeral time. Rev. Paul Coles(pastor) off. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 12:45P.M. Friday.
