Departed this life December 5, 2012. Willie A. Munford Jr. of Richmond. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 59 years, Delores B. Munford; four daughters; Gale Munford; Susan Munford Alston, Gwen Munford Jefferson(Darryl) and Mary Catherine Munford Carter(Norman Jr.); two sons, Willie A. Munford III(Carmen) and Michael Paul Munford(Renee); eleven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a host of cousins; one brother-in-law, General Charles M. Hood(Elaine); and other relatives and friends, among them devoted Eugene Harden. He was a member of the Astoria Beneficial Club. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where the family will receive friends from 3 to 4PM on Sunday. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday 11AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 8250 Woodman Road where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Interment Riverview Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 10:45AM Monday.
