Departed this life February 8, 2013. Joseph Thomas “New York” of Richmond. He is survived by his wife, Nellie Thomas; two daughters, Eartha and Joann Thomas; one son, Joseph Thomas Jr; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one daughter-in-law; two sisters-in-law; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11AM at Fountain of Delverance, 3800 E. Broad Rock Blvd where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Bishop Lawrence Taylor(pastor). Elder Roscoe Black off. Interment Riverview Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 10:45AM Saturday.
