Departed this February 12, 2013. Mrs. Claudette Alston, age 74, of Richmond. She is survived by her husband Benjamin Alston Jr; one son Benjamin A. Alston; one daughter Crystal L. Alston-Bayton; three grandchildren Amber Bayton, and Tori & Miles Alston; two sisters Shelia Richardson(devoted) and Valarie Williams; one brother Dalton Miles; one devoted aunt Deloris Charity; two uncles Alvin Charity and Clarence Charity; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one daughter in law L. Carolyn Washington-Alston; three sisters in law Dometta Miles Ruth Dennis-Phillips and Lucille Alston; five brothers in law Robert Mealy Jr., James Richardson, Leo Dennis Jr., Calvin Alston(Carolyn) and Joseph Russell and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr Funeral home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Saturday 11AM at Riverview Baptist Church, 2604 Idlewood where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Dr. Stephen Hewlett(pastor). Rev.
