Garland Lorenzo Lewis

Lewis, Departed this life March 3, 2008. Deacon Garland Lewis Sr. of Richmond. He is preceded in death by his son, Garland Lewis Jr. He is survived by his wife Lucy Lewis; one daughter Ernestine Lewis; three sisters Frances L. Barber, Sarah O’Neal and Essie L. Owens; two brothers, Jasper and Joseph Lewis; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and other relatives and friends. He was a member of the Deacon’s Conference of the Richmond Vicinity and also a member of the Friendship Lodge #3846 of the Grand United Order of Odd Fellows. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Friday 1P.M. at Greater Mt. Moriah Baptist Church located at 913 N. 1st Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior funeral time. Rev. Kenneth E. Dennis Sr.(pastor) off. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 12:45P.M. Friday.
