Oliver William Gaines

Departed this life March 12, 2013. Oliver Gaines Sr., age 81, of Richmond. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Gaines; two sons, Oliver Gaines Jr. and Kevin Gaines; two grandchildren, Karl Orlando Belcher and Dorian Rose Gaines; two sisters, Ann Booker and Delores Jasper; one aunt, Rev. Sarah Gholson; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; two daughters-in-law, Jewel Lee-Gaines and D. Guarnetta Gaines; one sister-in-law, Joyce Ann Miller; one brother-in-law. Richard Booker and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Saturday 12 noon at Hood Temple A. M. E. Zion Church, 16 W. Clay Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Dr. Edmond H. Whitley Sr. (pastor). Rev. Margery B. Glover officiating. Interment Riverview Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 11:45AM Saturday
