Departed this life March 11, 2013. Mrs. Velada Brown, age 59, of Richmond. She is survived by one daughter, Veruska Johnson; two sons, Carlos Brown Sr. and Diego Brown; eleven grandchildren; one sister, Viveca Johnson; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins among them devoted Shelly Garrett-Ross; one daughter-in-law, Tasha Brown; one son-in-law, Lawrence Johnson III; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1PM. Interment Roselawn Memory Gardens. Elder Derrick Maye officiating. Family and friends assemble at the funeral home 12:45PM Tuesday.
