Gertrude Pollard Cooke

Cooke, Departed this life March 9, 2008. Mrs Gertrude P.(Dump) Cooke of Richmond. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clyburn Cooke. She is survived by two daughters, Michelle Cooke and Marsha Cooke-Ross; two sons, Clyburn L. and Michael Cooke; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister, Adelle P. Smith; one brother, Oscar Pollard Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one daughter- in-law, Edwina Cooke; one son- in-law, Raymond Ross III; two sisters-in-law, Margaret Pollard and Ruby Moore; five brothers-in- law, Hezekiah J. Whiting Jr., Willie Brown Sr., and Willie, Richard and Sammie Cooke; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 12 noon at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 4401 Hobbs Lane where remains will lie in state one hour prior funeral time. Rev. Andrew J. Jackson Jr.(pastor) Dr. Ronald Taylor off. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 11:45A.M. Saturday.
