Jefferson, Departed this life April 6, 2008. James Melvin Jefferson Sr. of Richmond. He is survived by his wife, Orpah L. Jefferson; six daughters, Arletha, Jamie, Tiara, Brandy, Patricia and Angie Jefferson; five sons, Emmanuel, Denzel, Joshua, James Jr. and Bobby Jefferson; five grandchildren; two sisters, Bernice Porter of New York and Alberta Crocker of Suffolk; one brother, Frederick Jefferson of New York; a host of nieces and nephews, among them William(Buster) Jenkins and cousins; his father-in-law Fred Crenshaw; three sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law and other relatives and friends, among them Tammy L. Pryor and his god daughter, Kendra Whindleton. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Friday 1P.M. at Abundant Life Church of Christ, 3300 Neale Street where remains will in state one hour prior funeral time. Dr. Steve I. Foreman(pastor) off. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 12:45P.M. Friday.
