William Henry Brooks

Departed this life June 24, 2013. William Brooks, age 73, formerly of Richmond. He is preceded in death by one son, Wendell Jenkins. He is survived by one daughter, Ernestine Dixon, two sons, Lorenzo Jenkins and Rufus “Stevie” Brooks; a host of grand and great grandchildren; two sisters, Girdann Boggan and Girdell Turner; aunts and uncles; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one daughter-in-law, Charise Brooks; one son- in-law, Curtis Dixon; one brother-in-law, Conway Turner; and other relatives and friends among them a companion, Renee Bumbry. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11AM. Rev. Rev. Corey Thompson off. Interment Fields Family Cemetery, Emporia, Virginia. Family and friends assemble at the funeral home 10:45AM Tuesday.
