Departed this life August 12, 2013. Deacon Vernelle Poole of Richmond. She was preceded in death by first husband, John E. Johnson Sr. and husband, Charles E. Poole Sr. Left to cherish her memory are one devoted daughter, Sandra Allison; one son, Rev Dr. John E. Johnson Jr.(Rev. Towanda); four stepchildren; Paulette Phillips(Arthur), Sharon Poole, Bonnie Linder(Ralph) and Charles Poole Jr; seven grandchildren among them RoSan Allison and John E Johnson III; several great grandchildren; one niece, one nephew and a host of cousins; one brother-in-law, William Bishop and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. The family will receive friends 12 noon Friday at Riverview Baptist Church 2604 Idlewood Avenue, where Delta Sigma Theta Omega Omega services will be conducted followed by funeral services at 1PM. Dr. Stephen Hewlett(pastor) off. Entombment Forest Lawn Cemetery.
