Mildred Hicks

Departed this life August 18, 2013. Mrs. Mildred Hicks of Richmond. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Hicks, three daughters; Rosa Simpson, Cynthia Simpson and Gwen Christian; one son, Frederick Hicks. She is survived by five daughters; Diane & Arlene Simpson, Antoinette Smith and Valerie & Janet Younger; three sons; Charles Simpson, Benjamin Thornton and Jermaine Hicks; 25 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; two sisters, Kate Simpson and Pat Christian; one brother, Willie Simpson; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one daughter-in-law, Sharon Hicks; one son-in-law, Cornelius Younger; five sisters-in-law, Josie Hicks, Grace Skinner, Kathleen Simpson, Barbara Simpson and Alminta Hicks; one brother-in-law, Ozella Hicks and other relatives friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Thursday 1PM at Trinity Baptist Church 2811 Fendall Avenue where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Dr. A. Lincoln James(pastor) off. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 12:45PM Thursday.
