Departed this life August 28, 2013. Mrs. Velma Sturdivant of Richmond. She is survived by her husband, Dan Sturdivant Jr.; one brother, Melchester Staten; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; two sisters-in-law, Eliza Turner and Hesthel Staten; two brothers-in-law, Ralph Bellamy Sr. and Kennard Turner Sr. and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home 2011 Grayland Avenue where the family will receive friends 12 Noon Wednesday followed by funeral services at 1PM. Interment Oakwood Cemetery.
