Departed this life September 3, 2013. Leroy Hines Jr., age 83, of Richmond. He is survived by his wife, Mary Hines; three daughters; Cynthia Davis, Jacqueline Irby, and Pamela Gardner; three sons; Michael, Leroy III and Sterling Hines; four grandchildren; one great granddaughter; two sisters, Mattie Wafer and Jackie B. Fox; three brothers; Rev. Albert, Lawrence and Charles Hines; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one son-in-law, Phillip Irby; three sisters-in-law, Sandra & Armentha Hines and Josephine Fleming; two brothers-in-law, Homer Wafer and Martin Fox and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Thursday 12 noon at First Independent Methodist Church located at 3050 Midlothian Tnpk where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Harper E. Greenhowe(pastor) off. Interment Maury Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 11:45AM Thursday.
