Osborne Vaughn

Departed this life September 14, 2013. Osborne “Dickie” Vaughan Sr. of Richmond. He is preceded in death by his son, Osborne Vaughan Jr. He is survived by his wife, Alice D. Vaughan; one daughter, Linda Cook; nine grandchildren among them a devoted Joann Cheeks; 13 great grandchildren; seventeen great great grandchildren; a host of cousins; three sisters-in-law; Martha Brown, Ruth Williams and Margaret Peay; two brothers-in-law, George Walker and Bruce Dandridge and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30PM Wednesday. Funeral services will be held Thursday 1P.M. at Fifth Street Baptist Church, 2800 Third Avenue where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. F. Todd Gray(pastor) off. Interment Quantico National Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 12:45PM Thursday.
