Sheryl Lynn Thomas

Thomas, Mrs. Sheryl Mitchell of Richmond Va., departed this life September 14, 2013. She is survived by one daughter, Mia Thomas; parents, Elizabeth and John "Tom" Mitchell; maternal grandmother, Ida Lee Cheatham; two sisters, Marsha Gray and Ida A. Mitchell; three brothers; Cary Mitchell, Brian Harris and John Mitchell; one aunt, Peggy Smith; one uncle, Carl Spencer; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins;; one sister-in-law, one brother-in-law and other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Ave., Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. Memorial services will be held Saturday 1 p.m. at the Richmond Christian Center, 214 Cowardin Ave., Dr. Stephen A. Parsons, pastor, Dr. Cavell Phillips officiating. Family and friends assemble at the church 12:45 p.m. Saturday.
