Jacqueline Ragland Smyre

Smyre, Departed this life May 31, 2008. Mrs. Jacqueline Smyre of Richmond. She is survived by five sons; Leroy, William, Kelvin, Charles and Vosean Smyre; 23 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; her mother, Margaret White; two brothers, Benjamin and Leroy Ragland; one aunt, Etta Farmer; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; two daughters-in-law, Cheryl and Arlene Smyre; one sister-in-law, Patricia Ragland; and other relatives and friends among them a devoted companion, Joe Harris. She retired from Richmond Public Schools. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30P.M. Wednesday. Funeral services will be held Thursday 11A.M. at Trinity Baptist Church, 2811 Fendall Avenue where remains will lie in state one hour prior funeral time. Dr. A. Lincoln James(pastor) off. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 10:45A.M. Thursday.
