Irene S. Foster

Departed this life November 17, 2013. Mrs. Irene “Cookie” Foster formerly of New York. She is preceded in death by her son, Louis Foster Jr. She is survived by four daughters; Carolyn Diane Foster, Laurie Foster Brown, Hope Foster and Linda L. Poindexter; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren and one on the way; three great great grandchildren; a host of cousins; two sons-in-law, Harold Brown and Melvin Poindexter; one sister-in-law, Elizabeth Barrett and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30PM Thursday. Funeral services will be held Friday 10AM at Faith and Family Church, 7900 Walmsley Blvd where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Pastor Calvin Duncan off. Interment Roselawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends assemble at the church 9:45AM Friday.
