Departed this life November 22, 2013. John E. Kinney Jr., of Richmond. He is preceded in death by his father, John E. Kinney Sr. and mother, Bernice Kinney. He is survived by his wife, Donzella Murrell Kinney; one daughter, Donetta Johnae Kinney; two sisters, Linda Taylor and Bernetta Thornton; one brother, Robert Kinney; four aunts; Minnie Pearl Bush, and Catherine, Lizzie, & Louise Jasper; one uncle, Charles Bush; 3 nieces and 2 nephews; a host of cousins; one sister-in-law Valeathia, Kinney; two brothers-in-law, Robert Taylor and Marvin Thornton and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Saturday 10AM at Moore Street Missionary Baptist Church, 1408 W. Leigh Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Dr. Alonza Lawrence(pastor) off. Interment Jasper Family Cemetery, Powhatan, Virginia. Family and friends assemble at the church 9:45AM Saturday.
