Mamie L. Billups

Departed this life November 24, 2013. Deaconess Mamie Billups, age 91, of Richmond. She is preceded in death by her husband, Luther Billups; two daughters, Fannie Brown and Frances Spencer. She is survived by one daughter, Bettie Threatts; one son, James “Jack” Trent; 12 grandchildren among them a devoted Tameka Threatts; 22 great grandchildren; 16 great great grandchildren; one sister, Larrine Faye; one aunt, Almo Brown; one uncle, Levi Langhorne; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one daughter-in-law, Joyce Trent; and other relatives and friends and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held 11AM Saturday at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, 1902 Rosewood Avenue where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Michael Moore (pastor) Dr. Clifton Whitaker off. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
