Edward D. Griffin

Griffin, departed this life December 1, 2013. Edward Delonte Griffin. He leaves to cherish his memories Reverend Clicent and Pamela Boyd and father, Darian Griffin of Las Vegas, Nevada; one aunt, LaTasha Williams of Rocky Point, North Carolina; four uncles; Gillis B. Williams, Jr. of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Ali Griffin, Thomas Griffin, and Edwin Griffin all of Detroit, Michigan, maternal grandmother, Juanita Williams of Rocky Point, North Carolina and paternal grandparents, Edward and Sharon Griffin of Detriot, Michigan, one first cousin, Talik Williams. God blessed Edward with an extended family of brothers and one step-sister; Sedrick McNeil, Shamel Whittaker, Akio Boyd, Fletcher Boyd, and Jazmyne Griffin. Edward was a graduate of Cosby High School in Midlothian, Va. He was currently attending Valley Forge Military College of where he majored in Criminal Justice and obtained the rank of Staff Sergeant. Funeral Services for Edward will be held at First Union Baptist Church, 3510 Dill Road, Richmond, Va. 23222 at 12:00 p.m. Saturday. The viewing will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Interment St. John Missionary Baptist Church cemetery, Rocky Point, NC at 2:00 p.m. Sunday. Online condolences can be made at www.jenkinsjr.com.
