James E. Wheless

Departed this life January 8, 2014. James E. Wheless, age 73, of Richmond. He is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Boyd and Tracey Gassoway; three sons; Milton Rogers, William and James D. Wheless; five grandchildren; two sisters, Sally L. Wilson and Patsy Anderson; four brothers; Willie E. Silvers, Thomas R., William Jr. and Robert Wheless; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; two sons-in-law, Alvin Boyd Jr. and Christopher Gassoway; three sisters-in-law; Alice Silver, Deloris and Denise Wheless; two brothers-I- law, Melvin Wilson and Herbert Anderson and other relatives and friends, among them his devoted companion Roslyn Ross. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where the family will receive friends from 4 to 5pm on Sunday and where funeral services will be held Monday at 1PM. Rev. Alice Silver off. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the funeral home 12:45PM Monday.
