Hopkins, Departed this life June 22, 2008. Melvin L.(Boo) Hopkins of Richmond. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Hopkins Sr. He is survived by his mother, Julia A. Hopkins; one sister, Joyce Williams; three brothers, Robert Jr., Rodney and William Hopkins; nine aunts; six uncles; three nieces, and four nephews; two great nieces and one great nephew; a host of cousins; two sisters-in-law, Charline and Leslie Hopkins; one brother-in-law, Thomas L. Williams Sr.; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest a Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30P.M. on Friday. Funeral services will be held Saturday 11A.M. at Pilgrim Journey Baptist Church, 7204 Bethlehem Road where remains will lie in state one hour prior funeral time. Rev. Angelo Chatmon(pastor) off. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 10:45A.M. Saturday.
