Departed this life January 25, 2014. Anthony L. Jones, age 44, of Richmond. He loved watching his kids play sports. He also loved the “Raiders.” He is survived by his wife, Alvina Jones; two daughters, Keona and Raven; two sons, Jaivon and Aidan; his mother, Cynthia Jones Brown; his maternal grandmother, Susie Jones; one sister, Arnecie Jones; one brother, Raymone Jones; one aunt, Judith Jones; two uncles, Phillip Jones Jr. and Charlie Jones; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; his mother-in-law, Beatrice Bates Gordon; his father-in-law, Maurice Gordon; biological father-in-law, Linwood Anderson; one sister-in-law, Carleasa Gordon; three brothers-in-law, Darius Anderson and Reece & Chavis Gordon and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where the family will receive friends Thursday from 6:30PM to 7:30PM. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1PM at Fifth Baptist Church, 1415 W. Cary Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Earl Brown(pastor). Family and friends assemble at the church 12:45PM Friday.
