Jesse Brown

Departed this life February 25, 2014. Jesse Brown, age 79, of Richmond. He is preceded in death by two sons, Jesse Brown Jr and Kelvin Brown. He is survived by his wife, Rev Helen Clayton-Brown; three daughters; Lashawn Y. Muhammad, Dr. Helene Clayton-Jeter and Wanda Brown Williams; two sons, Dennis L. Clayton and Samuel E. Brown; a host of grand and great grandchildren; one aunt, Frances Jones; one uncle, Rev. Benjamin Jackson; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; two son- in-law, Bradford Jeter and Warren Williams; eight sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where the family will receive friends from 5 to 6PM Sunday. Funeral services will be held Monday 11AM at Fifth Baptist Church, 1415 W. Cary Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Earl Brown(pastor) off. Interment Roselawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends assemble at the church 10:45AM Monday.
