Harris, Departed this life July 15, 2008. Mrs. Marjorie Jean Harris of Richmond. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Kelly Harris, her father and mother, Calvin and Essie Chambers and one brother, Calvin C. Chambers. She is survived by her daughter, Valerie F. James-Gilbert; two grandchildren, Arthur Lowell James of Alexandria and Amber Sheree James of Harlem, New York; one sister, Hazel E. Williams; one brother, Norvell A. Chambers; one aunt, Sarah Jones; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one son-in-law, Terry W. Gilbert; six sisters-in-law, Joyce & Ida Chambers, Gladys H. Holmes, Louise Jackson, Virginia Green, and Betty Harris and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where the family will receive friends from 4 to 5P.M. on Sunday. Funeral services will be held Monday, 12 noon at Second Baptist Church, 1400 Idlewood Avenue where remains will lie in state one hour prior funeral time. Dr. James Harris(pastor) officiating.
